Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss has been a country music star for more than 30 years. Her birthplace was in Decatur, Illinois on the 23rd July 1971. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were the two newest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer-songwriter and bluegrass country musician. She was born on July 23, 1971. Her first job was in the world of music at a very young age. When she was 10 she was a winner in local contests, and then recorded her first album. When she was 14, she signed with Rounder Records and in 1987 came out with her debut album. The band invited her to join the band who she continues to perform Alison Krauss and Union Station as well as releasing her debut album in the group in 1989.
